Today, I basted my first quilt and right now trying to get up enough nerve to actually quilt it on my sewing machine. I worked so hard on the top that I don't want to mess up the final product. It must be done! Onward!

Chapter 2 Craft Room Up and Running
It's been awhile, but I've been busy fixing up my craft room and quilting. Yes, I have definitely caught the quilting bug. Three quilt tops later, I am about to start my first quilting experience.
Today, I basted my first quilt and right now trying to get up enough nerve to actually quilt it on my sewing machine. I worked so hard on the top that I don't want to mess up the final product. It must be done! Onward!
As an aside, I had some problems basting my quilt. The picture says it all.

Chapter 1 - A New Day
I was up before the sun rose this morning in anticipation and things have not gone as planned. Taking apart the bed was a little more difficult that it should have been. I was able to get out two of the bolts but still had two more to remove. The charity truck came and I explained about the bolts but it was their policy not to do that kind of thing so they couldn't take the bed. They wouldn't take the desk either. Back to square one and I was huffy AND sleepy.
I needed to rant so I called my aunt, who is always good for this kind of thing. Before long she had me laughing and all was well again. She said she wanted to set up a new bedroom in her house and she would take the furniture...what luck! She is sending over the strong men in the family to get the furniture and is going to have them bring over an old dining room table to be my craft table. How great is that!

New Chapter
Hi! I'm Chrissy, a busy reader who loves all kinds of crafts and cooking. I can't seem to place one thing over any of the others. I like them all!
Tomorrow begins a new chapter in my life. That sounds very dramatic and it is to me. It means moving out the last bit of bedroom furniture in the "spare" room. That bedroom will become my crafting space and I will finally get my dining room table back. I've been inspired by other blogs and magazines that show these really great craft rooms that look uber-organized. I don't know how organized mine will be because I'm attempting to make over this room with furniture and accessories that I already have. Needless to say, it's going to be a hodgepodge. I can't wait! I'll let you know how it goes and post pictures.
